    Before We Begin

    Measuring yourself is a simple process if you follow the rules. Here are a few things to keep in mind when measuring yourself to make sure you get the best result. Click the options so we know that you've got the message. 

    Don't stress! We run every set of measurement through our AR and Averaging system. If we see something that looks a little suspect, we'll contact you by email and get you to double check. 

    Basic Info
    Neck Circumference (1/16)

    Place the tape around the neck and around the middle of Adam's apple. Leave a forefinger’s worth of space within the tape.

    Shoulder Width (2/16)

    Put tape along the shoulder arc, measure the shoulder arc from the left shoulder point to the right shoulder point. The "shoulder point" is the place where shoulder seam and armhole seam meet on a well-fitting shirt. Remember, the shoulder arc is not a straight line.

    Sleeve Length (3/16)

    Place the tape on the shoulder point (where the shoulder seam and armhole seam meet on your well-fitting shirt). Measure from the shoulder point to just before where thumb and forefinger meet. Keep your arms straight and relaxed.

    Bicep circumference (4/16)

    Put the tape under armpit, measure the circumference of the fullest part of your bicep.

    Wrist Circumference (5/16)

    Measure around the wrist. This one is pretty simple. If we’re being honest, what your reading right now is just filler. Go get that measurement!

    Bust Circumference (6/16)

    Relax your body and maintain a natural stance. Measure around the fullest part of your chest. Make sure your arms are down and ensure that you can feel the tape around your entire body.

    Jacket Waist (7/16)

    Relax your body and maintain a natural stance. Measure at the bottom of the ribcage, or, if you’re carrying a little bit of love around the middle, measure at just before your belly starts. Make sure your arms are down and ensure that you can feel the tape around your entire body.

    Belly Circumference (8/16)

    Relax your body and maintain a natural stance. Measure across the widest part of your belly. This is usually around the belly button. Make sure your arms are down and ensure that you can feel the tape around your entire body.

    Jacket length (9/16)

    Measure straight down from the base of the neck (the point where the shoulder and neck meet) and run the tape straight down until it’s in line with just before where the thumb and forefinger meet.

    Waist Circumference (10/16)

    Relax your body and maintain a natural stance. Measure around where you usually wear your belt, measure around the thinnest part of your waist. Ensure that you are not wearing a belt when you take this measurement. Ensure that you are not wearing jeans as these are worn lower and are thicker than suit pants.

    Hips Circumference (11/16)

    Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bum. Ensure that you can feel the tape around your entire body.

    Trouser Rise (12/16)

    Place the tape at the top of the waistband in the middle of your pants. Run the tape through your legs and through to the top of the waistband at the back of your pants. Ensure that you can feel the tape the whole way but make sure that it’s not too tight (unless you want your swimmers a hard time).

    Thigh Circumference (13/16)

    Place the tape just under the crotch and measure around the widest part of your thigh.

    Knee Circumference (14/16)

    Measure around the leg about 5 cms above the knee.

    Calf Circumference (15/16)

    Measure around the widest part of the calf.

    Trouser length (16/16)

    Without shoes, measure vertically along the outseam from the top of your pant’s waistband to the floor.

Styling Guide

Shirt

Because of the colour profile, this suit is best suited to soft pastels. It’s best to avoid anything loud or patterned. The strategy with this piece is to pair subtle with subtle. lilac, soft blues and lighter plain hues will ensure that you look smart in a suit that many will find difficult to pull off. If you must go darker, try to find something unique yet still plain. Emeralds and Darker purples may work well if used in the right occasion.

Tie

Try to follow the same methodology as your shirt. Keep it clean and simple, however, you can sometimes pair with a light stripe or something that won’t contrast too much. If in doubt, stick with a simple white or black to keep a toned-down look.

Shoes

Experiment with browns and clean oxfords however, because of this suit’s nature, it’s best to play it by ear. Experiment with what you have but also take into consideration your shirt and tie choices.

OCCASIONS

WHITE! is a fun piece and not well suited for formal or work occasions. The cup day or other such summer occasion marks a fantastic time to pull this one out of the wardrobe.

Observations/Notes

Be careful with this one. White, as a colour, stains easily so take care with your maintenance. If you have a limited suit collection, it may be best to look at another one of the great suits in the Suitably lineup.
