Description
The name… should be here but it’s not… Because we don’t want to be sued.
Let’s just say you’re an international spy with a reputation for dressing well, looking good and always saving the day. Let’s also say that there was a historically significant style of tuxedo that you’re known for. If such a person exists, and we’re not saying that they do… This is probably what said well travelled, silver-tongued, roguishly handsome character would most likely wear as he saves the world. Again, all hypothetical.
Bond features a beautiful midnight fabric that contrasts wonderfully over the satin lapel, further adding to the depth of the outfit. This is a great piece for special occasions where you want to blur the lines between classic and contemporary. A stunning tribute and a great choice for your wedding, cocktail event, or any situation that requires a slightly rebellious interpretation of the black-tie dress code.
Styling Guide
Shirt
In the most technically correct sense, the best option is a crisp white shirt. Pair your shirt with French cuffs to ensure that you have the look that the aforementioned, completely fictitious, totally not a thing character that was mentioned above would have. Please don’t sue us…
Tie
In the most formal sense, you would match your tie with the facing of your lapel (the folded bits of fabric at the front of the jacket). This is to say that if you have a satin lapel, you would have a satin tie. With this in mind, a black satin bowtie seems like that best option however, here at Suitably, whilst we love the rules, much like the matrix, we believe that some rules can be bent, others can be broken (if you don’t believe us, google the term sprezzatura and get back to us). Play around with texture and fabrics however, it’s mostly recommended that you stay with black.
Shoes
Black shoes. There is no alternative. In the classic sense, the best choice is a simple black oxford however, we’re also a fan of double monk strap shoes for something that’s a little unique but also quite formal and very cool.
OCCASIONS
This is a great option for your big day, cocktail parties, black tie events and anything that requires a black-tie dress code. This is one that you keep for special occasions. The days where you need to look your best.
