The paper isn’t the only thing that’s green.
With a unique, velvet finish in a deep green, Aiko is a show-stopper that will turn heads and cause gasps. The loud, but classy finish pairs well with tuxedo features and will work in any scenario that would demand a black-tie dress code but you want something that’s going to stand out in a huge way.
The Suitably Signature range is a curated line of products that echo the fundamentals of the Suitably label. Expect premium fabrics, meticulous craftsmanship and styling for the boldest and most well dressed.
In the most technically correct sense, the best option is a crisp white shirt. Pair your shirt with French cuffs to ensure that you have the look.
In the most formal sense, you would match your tie with the facing of your lapel (the folded bits of fabric at the front of the jacket). This is to say that if you have a satin lapel, you would have a satin tie. With this in mind, a black satin bowtie seems like that best option however, here at Suitably, whilst we love the rules, much like the matrix, we believe that some rules can be bent, others can be broken (if you don’t believe us, google the term sprezzatura and get back to us). Play around with texture and fabrics however, it’s mostly recommended that you stay with black.
Black shoes. There is no alternative. In the classic sense, the best choice is a simple black oxford however, we’re also a fan of double monk strap shoes for something that’s a little unique but also quite formal and very cool.
Whilst this piece is not for the faint of heart, the green comes across as classic and the detail will have people in awe. A great choice for weddings and black-tie events. Velvet is a naturally heavier fabric than wool and as such, if you run hot, consider pairing this with a lighter weight shirt from our lineup of premium fabrics.
