    Before We Begin

Measuring yourself is a simple process if you follow the rules. Here are a few things to keep in mind when measuring yourself to make sure you get the best result. Click the options so we know that you've got the message.

Don't stress! We run every set of measurement through our AR and Averaging system. If we see something that looks a little suspect, we'll contact you by email and get you to double check.

    Basic Info
    Neck Circumference (1/16)

Place the tape around the neck and around the middle of Adam's apple. Leave a forefinger’s worth of space within the tape.

    Shoulder Width (2/16)

Put tape along the shoulder arc, measure the shoulder arc from the left shoulder point to the right shoulder point. The "shoulder point" is the place where shoulder seam and armhole seam meet on a well-fitting shirt. Remember, the shoulder arc is not a straight line.

    Sleeve Length (3/16)

Place the tape on the shoulder point (where the shoulder seam and armhole seam meet on your well-fitting shirt). Measure from the shoulder point to just before where thumb and forefinger meet. Keep your arms straight and relaxed.

    Bicep circumference (4/16)

Put the tape under armpit, measure the circumference of the fullest part of your bicep.

    Wrist Circumference (5/16)

Measure around the wrist. This one is pretty simple. If we’re being honest, what your reading right now is just filler. Go get that measurement!

    Bust Circumference (6/16)

Relax your body and maintain a natural stance. Measure around the fullest part of your chest. Make sure your arms are down and ensure that you can feel the tape around your entire body.

    Jacket Waist (7/16)

Relax your body and maintain a natural stance. Measure at the bottom of the ribcage, or, if you’re carrying a little bit of love around the middle, measure at just before your belly starts. Make sure your arms are down and ensure that you can feel the tape around your entire body.

    Belly Circumference (8/16)

Relax your body and maintain a natural stance. Measure across the widest part of your belly. This is usually around the belly button. Make sure your arms are down and ensure that you can feel the tape around your entire body.

    Jacket length (9/16)

Measure straight down from the base of the neck (the point where the shoulder and neck meet) and run the tape straight down until it’s in line with just before where the thumb and forefinger meet.

    Waist Circumference (10/16)

Relax your body and maintain a natural stance. Measure around where you usually wear your belt, measure around the thinnest part of your waist. Ensure that you are not wearing a belt when you take this measurement. Ensure that you are not wearing jeans as these are worn lower and are thicker than suit pants.

    Hips Circumference (11/16)

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bum. Ensure that you can feel the tape around your entire body.

    Trouser Rise (12/16)

Place the tape at the top of the waistband in the middle of your pants. Run the tape through your legs and through to the top of the waistband at the back of your pants. Ensure that you can feel the tape the whole way but make sure that it’s not too tight (unless you want your swimmers a hard time).

    Thigh Circumference (13/16)

Place the tape just under the crotch and measure around the widest part of your thigh.

    Knee Circumference (14/16)

Measure around the leg about 5 cms above the knee.

    Calf Circumference (15/16)

Measure around the widest part of the calf.

    Trouser length (16/16)

Without shoes, measure vertically along the outseam from the top of your pant’s waistband to the floor.

Description

LET YOUR INNER HIPSTER LOOK AFTER BUSINESS.

You’re sick of the seas of greys and blues in the office. You want to stand out but at the same time, you want to look sharp and be taken seriously. That’s a fine line to walk however the Plaid will be your best friend.

Taking inspiration from the fashion stylings of old, plaid as a pattern has proven itself to be a sharp foray into suit game that screams class without being considered too much. With a subtle cream and brown pattern adjourning a heavy set fabric, this suit will holds itself well in all situations however it lends itself to the colder months where this stunning three-piece will keep you warm and classy.

Paired up or down, The Plaid is the perfect choice for those who want to keep it classy and bump up their hipster points.

Styling Guide

Shirt

Stick with the basics. We love a plain white shirt or something in a lighter hue to show off the crowning piece. Failing that, a complimenting patterned shirt will help create further texture. If you go the patterned route, try to differ your colour palette so that you avoid coming off as a single block.

Tie

If you go with something busy with your shirt, try and keep your tie simple. The opposite also applies if you go with something clean.Orange hues work extremely well with the suit accents. Woollen ties also work with the aesthetic in question. If you’re going for a patterned tie, stick with traditional checks and other patterns. Avoid the modern as it may clash with the aesthetic in question.

Shoes

Browns, tans and charcoals are the order of the day. Straight blacks may potentially come off as austere. We love a good oxford or loafer with this particular setup however if you’re feeling brave, some quality brogues will definitely add some class but may be too busy for an office situation.

OCCASION

The Plaid is better suited for the winter months, however, can be accessorised to suit most occasions. Keep things clean and this will make a perfect addition to your office arsenal pop with a bit of pizazz in your accessories, this will make a great special event suit.

Observation/Notes

Due to the style of suit, this particular suit is quite heavy in the fabric. Due to this, it will keep the wearer extremely warm and will be an addition to your wardrobe that will last your years.
